[OOC] Yuuta
Jan. 12th, 2014 10:45 pmSome updated notes on Yuuta. He is joining Tohoku now due to a little...accident back at his old school. The arrangement, he was told, is temporary, which is the only reason he agreed to attend Tohoku in the interim.
Name: Fuji Yuuta
Age: 16 (will turn 17 this February)
School Year: HS 2nd Year
House: Pine/Matsu for sheer stubbornness. I mean loyalty and strength and endurance.But mostly stubbornness. Not that Yuuta was all that invested in what house he was sorted to, since the arrangement is supposed to be temporary. Yeah, that's what he thinks.
Familiar: Yuuta's familiar, a raven called Lenore, died recently and he hasn't had the time to replace it. He'll be getting a new one during his first week at Tohoku.
Wand: Peach with houou (fenghuang) tail feather.
History: For the longest time Yuuta showed no magical potential or sensitivity to the spirit world, although he may harbor a (not so) secret phobia of ghosts. It turns out he was just a late bloomer! Rather than Tohoku, Yuuta chose to attend a different school of magic starting from high school first year, and for a while things were going well. Sadly, during the Christmas party of 2013, a mysterious infestation (some say a herbology experiment gone horribly wrong) of huge carnivorous flowers forced the school to close down temporarily. Until the infestation is under control, students have been sent to different schools, and Yuuta, with much apprehension, ended up at Tohoku. Perhaps because he woke to his ability quite late, Yuuta remains largely uncomfortable with magical world, notably brooms. (What? No Quidditch? D:)
Note on Yuuta's familiar: Yuuta will be getting a mysterious package during his first week at Tohoku: a dog named Haku. Aside from the near-human intelligence, and the fact every person sees a different kind of dog whenever they look at him, Haku is pretty typical dog-ish. (To Yuuta, Haku looks like a miniature Husky pup. Yumiko saw a little white Japanese Spitz.) Although Haku is armed with sharp teeth, he's only about 10 pounds, so he won't be the most intimidating of familiars. :)
